Plaine de France – Ourcq
The route, to the east of Roissy airport, winds through villages and farmland.
From Claye-Souilly to Paris, the route follows the greenway along the Canal de l’Ourcq, in a rural setting as far as the Parc de la Poudrerie in Sevran, which offers a host of activities for young and old alike.

South of the Ermenonville forest, the route crosses the Goële region, whose rural character is evident in the beet and cereal crops grown there. It runs partly along the Biberonne valley before joining the Ourcq Canal in the municipality of Gressy.

The Ourcq Canal, built between 1802 and 1825, was originally intended to supply the capital with drinking water. Today, it is used for recreational boating (cruises, barges, etc.), but freight transport (construction materials) continues between Bondy and Paris. The route runs along this canal, which has been adapted since the late 1990s to accommodate cycle tourists.
