Senlis – Ver-sur-Launette

Hello eurovelo3.fr Webmaster!

Between the medieval town of Senlis and the edge of the Île-de-France region, the route is located in a forest. There are no villages between the two ends of the route: a change of scenery is guaranteed because, with these tall pine trees and sandy outcrops, you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the Landes region.

To view the detour through the Ermenonville forest, to be used on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, tick the “Variant lanes” box.

Itinerary Eurovelo3, recommended by CTE

From the old Senlis railway station, join the Trans’Oise, turn right and head for Villemétrie. Take Rue du Pont Saint Urbain and enter the Ermenonville forest via Chemin d’Alexandre. Continue along the paved Route Longue until you reach the D 126, which you will cross. The Route Longue continues, but its paved surface is replaced by a 2 km stretch of gravel. Turn right at the picnic area, then follow the grassy path for 200 m. At Ver-sur-Launette, at the housing estate, turn right onto the square, then left onto Rue de la Forêt.
