This 11th update of the practical guide incorporates the new features introduced this year.
Most regions have increased the number of bicycle spaces on TER (regional) trains, but in return they have introduced compulsory reservations (for free or charged a small amount) during the summer.
By the end of the year, the Paris-Marseille-Nice TGV will no longer carry bicycles.
Fortunately, there is the Paris-Nice night train, but the number of spaces is low. The Paris-Tarbes night train is being extended this summer to Hendaye, with spaces for bicycles. Read more in the downloadable guide!
