  • In Villeneuve-le-Roi, the official Scandibérique route continues along the left bank of the Seine and uses the Ablon locks footbridge, which is impassable with a loaded bicycle!
  • Between Juvisy and Ris-Orangis, do not follow the signs on the left bank of the Seine due to a lack of cycle facilities on the Première Armée Française bridge – work in progress. The route then runs alongside the RN7, which is a decent but noisy cycle path. Follow the route on the right bank indicated on the map, which is simple, direct and quiet.

Itinerary recommended by CTE. Partially follows Eurovelo3

The official Scandibérique route passes under the Villeneuve-le-Roi bridge and heads towards Ablon. Crossing the Ablon Dam is very difficult due to the steep stairs. On the other side, there is a device to force cyclists to dismount from their bikes to avoid riding down the stairs. This device is impractical for bikes with panniers or cargo bikes.
